LEGO Ideas STEM set is a 'dream come true' for fan designer

The fan designer behind LEGO Ideas 21355 The Evolution of STEM has reacted to the reveal, sharing his story behind the dream come true.

LEGO Ideas is a unique theme in the portfolio for not only taking direct inspiration from fan-made designs but also for keeping the fans behind the projects involved at every step in the creation of the final set.

It has been confirmed by fan designer Daniel Bradley that this was precisely the case for 21355 The Evolution of STEM, which has received some significant changes compared to the challenging-winning project.

"I remember checking the challenge update on LEGO Ideas last year and seeing that my design had been selected for the fan vote which felt incredible," writes Daniel on Instagram. "Then, finding out I had been chosen as the official fan designer was just surreal!"

"This past year has been an absolute dream come true. Working with the team to expand on my initial design and turn it into something even greater has been an amazing experience."

Daniel also commented on the tribute tile referencing his building companion, hoping that the fame won't go to Zeus' head anytime soon. He also thanks designers Jordan Scott and Ollie Gregory for their work on the project and for keeping him involved throughout the journey.

This next LEGO Ideas set will be released on March 1, 2025, and you can read our in-depth review of the STEM-centric set by clicking here. You can secure your copy of 21355 The Evolution of STEM via a pre-order right now.
