LEGO Ideas vacation contest winner announced

The winner of the LEGO Ideas vacation contest has been announced, taking home a modular building and more in a huge prize package.

The results of the LEGO Ideas 'Build Your Perfect Vacation' challenge have been confirmed, determining which of the finalists will win four sets. The winner is Seaside Delight by the aptly-named On The Brickside, which uses 6,000 pieces to create an idyllic scene inspired by a Greek island.

From the beach to the boat to the taverna, there's a lot for minifigures to luxuriate in, and while the other nine finalists have won just 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine and 21357 Luxo Jr., On The Brickside has won 10350 Tudor Corner and 21353 The Botanical Garden on top of those two sets. This is not a LEGO Ideas challenge that will result in an official model based on the winner, but the chosen design can at least be admired on through a screen.

This ultimately brings another LEGO Ideas contest to a close, with just one now open. There's still plenty of time to build and submit something for the game avatar-centric challenge, with prizes including 72037 Mario & Standard Kart up for grabs.
