LEGO Ideas 21343 Viking Village needs a companion set to complete the look – but it's retiring this year.
To really round out a Viking-themed display with the newly-revealed LEGO Ideas 21343 Viking Village, your four minifigures will need a way of getting to their watery home. Luckily, the LEGO Group has already solved this problem with LEGO Creator 3-in-1 31132 Viking Ship and the Midgard Serpent. One of the three ways it can be displayed as a Viking Ship, complete with a blue and turquoise Midgard Serpent to battle.
The brown and blue colour. scheme of the ship pairs perfectly with the similarly toned 21343 Viking Village, Even the red and white sails share the same colours as the flag flying atop the brick-built village.
Plus, adding 31132 Viking Ship and the Midgard Serpent to your collection alongside 21343 Viking Village will add three more minifigure Vikings to the mix, almost doubling the population of the LEGO Ideas set. When you're tired of displaying the ship itself alongside 21343, 31132 also offers an enormous wolf, which could make for an epic battle for your hardy Vikings, or even add another building to the settlement with another house, complete with an ox and cart.
This might all sound like the dream combination, but you'll need to move fast to snap it up. While 21343 Viking Village doesn't release until October 1, 31132 Viking Ship and the Midgard Serpent retires at the end of this year. That leaves you just four short months to take it home, at a price of £104.99 / $119.99 / €119.99 for the 1,192 set.
