LEGO Ideas The Vintage Service Station rolls into view with 10K supporters

The latest fan-designed LEGO Ideas submission to pull in 10,000 supporters is The Vintage Service Station, a retro vehicle-based design.

With nearly 30 projects under the spotlight in the third review of 2023, the LEGO Ideas team will certainly have a challenging time deciding which fan submissions should make it through to the next round. We’ve already seen Iyan Ha’s Forest Base hit the 10,000 supporters mark today and now another original model design has joined that build.

The Vintage Service Station is the brainchild of MOCturnal and was created in close collaboration with fellow LEGO Ideas creator, Jan van Laar (AKA Besbaddesign). The minifigure-scale model includes 2,949 pieces, measures over 18cm high, 35cm long and 39cm wide, and was built to accommodate the three included vintage vehicles.

The LEGO Ideas submission comes with a family sedan, a vintage hot rod and a tow truck, all of which are designed to fit in with the model’s specific time period. Play features in The Vintage Service Station include a functional car lift, an opening garage door, a tool bench, a station store, restrooms and more.

We won’t know if The Vintage Service Station has successfully made it through to the next LEGO Ideas stage until next year, when the lucky winners will be revealed sometime in January 2024.
