LEGO Mario Kart 2025 sets pop up on official LEGO store at last

The official online LEGO store has finally published listings for the LEGO Mario Kart 2025 sets – but there are no lifestyle pictures in sight.

Ever since the LEGO Group's official reveal of the LEGO Mario Kart sets, due for release in January 2025, more pictures have trickled in through third-party retailers. Now, the listings have gone live on LEGO.com at long last but with no sign of any other new images.

Much like the LEGO Animal Crossing sets, the usual lifestyle pictures we've come to expect for upcoming LEGO sets are missing. The common denominator is Nintendo, so this could perhaps be an instance of the license partner trying to keep a close wrap on the sets. For whatever reason, the box images do at least show off the play features of the sets well.

72031 Yoshi Bike

Despite being the smallest set of the wave, 72031 Yoshi Bike still has plenty to offer, with red shells that can be shot from the back of the bike and bananas for the brick-built Blue Yoshi to avoid.

72032 Standard Kart

The most iconic car from the series (even if not the most picked) is represented in 72032 Standard Kart. The box shows the vehicle both with and without its kite, demonstrating the customisation options of the LEGO Mario Kart sets.

72033 Donkey Kong & DK Jumbo

Jumping up a gear when it comes to both size and price, 72033 Donkey Kong & DK Jumbo includes Donkey Kong's most well-known vehicle that matches his signature race, complete with red and green shells to throw at a target.

72034 Baby Mario vs. Baby Luigi

72034 Baby Mario vs. Baby Luigi is the first set to feature two vehicles and two characters, with both karts able to fire shells at brick-built balloons to recreate the in-game mini-games.

72035 Toad’s Garage

72035 Toad’s Garage is the home of customisation, where you can bring your brick-built vehicles to swap out parts of your cars, thanks to the hard work of the two blue-capped Toads that are also included.

72036 Baby Peach & Grand Prix Set

72036 Baby Peach & Grand Prix Set is the largest set of the wave, featuring a track that can either recreate the finish lane or create boundaries for the three vehicles to race through. There are also question boxes and various shells and bananas to add some excitement to the build.
