LEGO Super Mario is bringing out two more Mario Kart sets in August, debuting fresh vehicles and accessories.
Two new LEGO Mario Kart sets are due for launch on August 1, bringing out three new buildable characters across the duo of models. 72044 Piranha Plant Power-Up Pursuit includes Toadette and Koopa Troopa, while 72045 Shy Guy & P-Wing – predictably – features Shy Guy.

72044 Piranha Plant Power-Up Pursuit

First up is 72044 Piranha Plant Power-Up Pursuit, featuring buildable models of Toadette in the Cat Cruiser and Koopa Troopa in the Tanooki Kar. Both vehicles have drifting actions and shell-launching functions. Once built, you can attach the Piranha Plant figure to either kart and see how it moves when the kart is in motion.
As with the rest of the LEGO Mario Kart range, you can combine 72044 Piranha Plant Power-Up Pursuit with other LEGO Super Mario: Mario Kart sets to add more characters, weapons, and play possibilities to the mix.
72045 Shy Guy & P-Wing

72045 Shy Guy & P-Wing does what it says on the tin, bringing buildable versions of Shy Guy and P-Wing, complete with a shell-launching function. Equipped with Normal Wheels and a detachable Plane Glider, there's also a Banana element included to 'throw' at other racers.
