Every LEGO Marvel set retiring in 2023 and beyond – June update

A handful of LEGO Marvel mechs and action figures are no longer retiring in 2023 – but the entire current range of sets will be gone by the end of next year.

The LEGO Group has shuffled around the retiring dates for a smattering of its superhero sets this month, including three of January’s four new mechs and two of its buildable action figures. 76226 Spider-Man Figure, 76241 Hulk Mech Armor, 76243 Rocket Mech Armor, 76245 Ghost Rider Mech & Bike and 76256 Ant-Man Construction Figure were all due to retire in 2023, but will now hang around until 2024.

Making their debut in this list in June, meanwhile, are the five new LEGO Marvel sets launching in August – all of which are currently scheduled to hang around on shelves for only 15 months or so. Chances are good that date will change, but it’s not guaranteed: the turnover in the LEGO Marvel range can be pretty sharp at times, especially with smaller sets like 76242 Thanos Mech Armor, which launched in January and will be gone by the end of 2023.

More surprising is the retirement date for 76255 The New Guardians’ Ship, which remains steadfast at December this year – despite the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 set arriving on shelves just two months ago.

The likes of 76261 Spider-Man Final Battle and 76262 Captain America’s Shield may end up proving popular enough to warrant a longer production run, but we can’t say for sure at the moment.
