The LEGO Group has delayed the retirement of one of its most highly-acclaimed LEGO Marvel sets, but there are still plenty of models due to leave shelves in 2023 – including 76215 Black Panther.
Like 21337 Table Football, the 2,961-piece bust only arrived on shelves a few months ago, has already had its RRP marked down at LEGO.com, and is now slated for retirement by the end of the year. And just as with that LEGO Ideas set, this chain of events clearly speaks to the lukewarm reception to 76215 Black Panther among the community so far.
Contrast that with 76178 Daily Bugle, a critically-acclaimed Marvel modular building that was originally destined to retire in 2023 too – but will now remain on shelves until at least the end of 2024, according to Brick Fanatics’ sources. It’s one of the movers and shakers in our first list of retiring LEGO Marvel sets for 2023, which includes a total of 18 sets leaving production this year.
Among those are an entire wave of sets released for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in October 2022, along with both Thor: Love and Thunder sets, the three new Spider-Man buildable figures and the display-centric
