LEGO teams up with McLaren to put LEGO Speed Champions Race Car through its paces

The LEGO Group is going all in on its partnership with the McLaren Formula 1 team in the latest in a series of fun social media videos.

LEGO Speed Champions 76919 2023 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car is the latest racing-themed set to be featured in a series of the LEGO Group's videos in collaboration with the McLaren Formula 1 team. The first saw Formula 1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri in a quiz but now they're getting up close and personal with (a render of) 76919 2023 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car.

The clip shows Oscar gradually turning up the power of a brick-built wind tunnel, eventually reducing the car to rubble – and Lando's hair to a windswept mess. This is overseen by a photo of team principal Zak Brown.

From the sound of the LEGO Group's caption, we should have more of these videos in store, suggesting a closer partnership between McLaren and the toy brand. Could this mean even more papaya-coloured sets on the way? We'll have to wait and see.
