More LEGO NINJAGO 2026 rumoured details include huge 4,000-piece set

LEGO NINJAGO has been beefing up its sets as the theme and its fans mature, and that trend is rumoured to continue in 2026.

Although LEGO NINJAGO has long since had its sprawling display-focused builds in the NINJAGO CITY models, outside of those, the sets have typically been geared towards play. However, over the last couple of years, we've been seeing more adult-focused display sets, like 71814 Tournament Temple City, 71847 The Guardian Dragon, and 71846 The Fire Knight Mech, to name but a few.

With more rumoured details for the LEGO NINJAGO January 2026 wave now reported by Grimey, via redditor Clay_Bricks, that trend seems likely to continue. The expected piece counts for previously rumoured NINJAGO sets include two over 1,000 bricks – 71859 Four Weapons Blacksmith and 71860 The Dragon of Life – and one at nearly 5,000 pieces, 71861 The Old Town.

That puts the latter build on the smaller end of the NINJAGO CITY sizes, with the name suggesting it could be an expansion to the NINJAGO urban models that we've already got.

There are also piece counts for a range of smaller sets, ranging from 49 pieces for the smallest and cheapest to 642 for some of the mid-sized playsets. 71866 Ninja Anniversary Display is also expected to have 447 pieces, which doesn't offer any more clues as to what to expect from the mysterious anniversary build.

It's worth also noting that there's been a slight shift to the rumoured set names and numbers with Four Weapons Blacksmith now said to have the set number 71859 instead of 71858 and 71860 now attached to The Dragon of Life. That ties into the usual reminder that none of this information is confirmed until we get an official reveal from the LEGO Group, so take all of this with a pinch of salt for now.
