LEGO NINJAGO: Dragons Rising Season 3 main trailer revealed

LEGO NINJAGO: Dragons Rising Season 3 main trailer revealed

The main trailer for LEGO NINJAGO: Dragons Rising Season 3 is now available, teasing returning characters, unsettling insects and tragedy.

We're just under four weeks away from the release of LEGO NINJAGO: Dragons Rising worldwide, and the LEGO Group has released the main trailer for the next season of the beloved theme and show.

Now that two waves of models based on the next chapter of LEGO NINJAGO are available, the third trailer doesn't have much new that wasn't in past teasers, clips and the models themselves, but there's a key moment to note ahead of next season. You can watch the new trailer for yourself by clicking below and be aware that we'll be discussing spoilers later in this report.

Alongside further confirmation that Arin and Ras will be pairing up next season and confirming that Jay (or Rogue as the amnesia-afflicted character goes by now) is back next month, there's a single shot of Arin in tears in stormy weather that caught our eye.

While NINJAGO's cast has cried on-screen in moments of tragedy and worry, none have ever been quite as upset as Arin in the trailer, suggesting that something truly tragic will happen to someone soon. Notably, Lloyd's visions last season featured a moment where Sora was in serious peril, but this is only speculation on our part.

Other notable moments in the trailer include the confirmation that Drix is similar to the Vermillion, in that they are made up of thousands of insects in one co-ordinated mass. That's undoubtedly unsettling, but will lead to some interesting encounters next season. Thunderfang's final line in the trailer also confirms why the series has been named Dragons Rising.

There's not long left to go until we see exactly what Arin is upset about, with the third season of LEGO NINJAGO: Dragons Rising releasing worldwide on April 17. In the meantime, dozens of new LEGO NINJAGO sets are available now and more are rumoured for later this year.
