LEGO NINJAGO summer 2025 set rumours include $150 diorama

The latest rumours for LEGO NINJAGO in summer 2025 include everything from Rontu to a diorama model in what may be the theme's first 18+ set.

Instagram users fateful_04 and lego_minecraft_goat have provided us with more rumours about LEGO NINJAGO's summer 2025 selection. You can find the full list further down this report, but the highlights include 71847 Guardian Dragon & Temple Diorama, possibly expanding on the NINJAGO offerings for older enthusiasts.

Since NINJAGO has been running for well over a decade, some of its enthusiasts have grown up with the theme and are no longer within the target demographic for the theme's sets. The rumoured name of 71847 Guardian Dragon & Temple Diorama suggests that this is changing next year though.

The theme usually targets a younger audience but a couple of sets in 2024 seemed to experiment with an older demographic, including 71819 Dragon Stone Shrine and 71821 Cole's Titan Dragon Mech. Both featured play functions but in complex, display-worthy models that are ideal for older enthusiasts who wish to focus on display rather than play. Given these builds, it wouldn't be entirely surprising to see NINJAGO leap from its previous highest set age rating of 16+ to 18+ in 2025.

There's always the possibility that this rumoured diorama won't be an 18+ set at all though. LEGO Star Wars dioramas usually consist solely of 18+ models intended for display only, but LEGO Marvel features diorama-adjacent models that do not feature such an age rating.

It's only when 'diorama' is in the name that the 18+ target demographic is practically guaranteed. Hopefully, the diorama part of this rumour ends up being accurate as it would be interesting to see how LEGO NINJAGO embraces an older audience in a way distinctly different from the NINJAGO City range.

Also included in the new rumours is 71842 Rontu the Master Dragon, depicting the other dragon master from the most recent seasons to pair with 71809 Egalt the Master Dragon. It looks to be an interesting mix of sets for LEGO NINJAGO fans in the summer of next year.
