LEGO Scooby-Doo's return should be via the Fairground Collection

LEGO Ideas' latest entry into the third 2025 review proposes the return of LEGO Scooby-Doo via the Fairground Collection in a match made in heaven.

Tobnac may have yet to get a set on shelves, with previous attempts including other Scooby-Doo builds and one still in review, but they might stand a great chance at success with their Scooby-Doo rollercoaster model that has now reached 10,000 supporters. The 4,792-piece model sees a coaster twisting and turning through a haunted house, including moving features and obstacles.

Mystery Incorporated and the Mystery Machine are proposed alongside a suite of monstrous minifigures. LEGO Scooby-Doo has been retired since the end of 2016, when the last set left shelves for good, but the partnership has lived on more recently in LEGO Fortnite. A return to the theme through the familiar lens of LEGO fairground rides is an interesting strategy, and we can only hope that this project is successful in the third 2025 review.

The huge LEGO model would fit right in next to the sets from the Fairground Collection, though that would be a LEGO Icons theme today, whereas this model would be part of LEGO Ideas if it is to be approved.

The last LEGO Fairground Collection set to be released was 2022's 10303 Loop Coaster, which was retired in 2024. They had been released every other year for a while before then, including with 10273 Haunted House in 2020. This proposed build has some similarities to 10273 Haunted House, but it's an entirely different ride experience and would have the Scooby-Doo license to further differentiate it.

For now, this Scooby-Doo build is being considered for a future LEGO Ideas set as part of the third 2025 review. Though not guaranteed just yet, stay tuned to Brick Fanatics, and we'll let you know of any further updates.
