LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog summer 2024 sets revealed

Three LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog sets for summer 2024 have been revealed, including the debut of a Super Sonic minifigure.

The summer 2024 range of LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog has been revealed by online retailer JB Spielwaren, including many returning faces who have only featured in one set previously as well as a brand new vehicle for the franchise and, most notably, a Super Sonic minifigure.

76997 Tails’ Adventure Boat

Price: €54.99 Pieces: 393 Release date: August 1, 2024

76997 Tails’ Adventure Boat depicts a sequel to the Sea Fox, appearing for the first time in this LEGO set. A new Tails minifigure is included alongside Sonic who is wearing a lifejacket while abseiling behind. A small section of Green Hill Zone with a beach is present behind them as well as a Badnik.

76998 Knuckles and the Master Emerald Shrine

76998 Knuckles and the Master Emerald Shrine is designed to be compatible with 76996 Knuckles' Guardian Mech and it's missing the Master Emerald, which remains exclusive to the currently-available model. Knuckles returns though complete with Amy's third appearance and the model features a reference to Knuckles' live-action counterpart and his love of grapes.

76999 Super Sonic vs. Egg Drillster

Price: €79.99 Pieces: 590 Release date: August 1, 2024

76999 Super Sonic vs. Egg Drillster is the most exciting of the three new sets as it features the returning Dr. Eggman and Shadow as well as Super Sonic's debut. The build may remind you of Power Miners and there's even a photo of Maria in the side models, ready for the third Sonic the Hedgehog movie later this year. The model is not based specifically on the movie but seems designed to tie into it tangentially.
