Early rumours for LEGO Star Wars' January wave for 2025 suggest a return to form for the theme on the way to summer next year.
It's rumour season for LEGO Star Wars' 2025 selection already as early reports for the theme next year include everything from Grogu to a new Jedi Interceptor. At the time of writing, there are six sets rumoured, which would be the biggest January wave since 2020.
There may be more that have yet to be rumoured too, but you should be taking all reported information with caution in case anything turns out to be inaccurate.

Over the past few years, January for LEGO Star Wars has only included a handful of sets with similarly small selections that increase in size as summer approaches. Earlier this year, it consisted of only
That's much more than both 2024 and 2023 but only one more than the January wave in 2022. That wave included 75322 Hoth AT-ST, 75321 The Razor Crest Microfighter and three battle packs.
You can take a look at how first-half-year waves have been split over the past five years in the table below. Note that this does not include gifts-with-purchase or polybags – only models that you can easily purchase worldwide.
| Month | January | February | March | April | May | June |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2024 | Two sets | No sets | Five sets | No sets | Six sets | Four sets |
| 2023 | Three sets | No sets | Three sets | No sets | Six sets | One set |
| 2022 | Five sets | Five sets | Four sets | No sets | One set | One set |
| 2021 | Four sets | No sets | Three sets | Three sets | One set | No sets |
| 2020 | 12 sets | No sets | No sets | Four sets | One set | No sets |
Based on the data, 2025 could be a return to the likes of 2022 for LEGO Star Wars, or maybe take a page from 2021 and 2020 with sets in April. Nothing is rumoured beyond January at the time of writing and it's too early to say for sure how next year could play out for the popular theme.
It's also worth keeping in mind that since 2020, LEGO Star Wars has adapted and evolved with more 18+ set collections and less movie-focused models, shifting to a mix of prequel, original and Disney+ series-inspired content. Whatever the waves for LEGO Star Wars in 2025 look like, the theme has definitely changed.
