LEGO Star Wars polybag reveals official Episode I anniversary logo

The official logo for the 25th anniversary of Episode I: The Phantom Menace has been revealed thanks to a LEGO Star Wars polybag.

It’s probably a slight understatement to say that this is going to be a huge year for LEGO Star Wars fans. Not only can they look forward to celebrating the 25th anniversary of Episode I: The Phantom Menace in style, but 2024 will also see the LEGO Star Wars theme itself reach the quarter of a century mark.

There have already been multiple rumours regarding potential LEGO Star Wars sets arriving this year, everything from the return of Jedi Bob and a ‘boring’ Death Star Conference Room to a Dark Millennium Falcon and what may be an expensive buildable C-3PO. Of course, all of those models remain pure speculation for now and none of them have been officially confirmed by the LEGO Group to date.

In fact, only one LEGO Star Wars set based around The Phantom Menace has been revealed so far in the shape of the 30680 AAT polybag. The first image of the 75-piece vehicle-based set was glimpsed last month via an online retailer and the build is already available in the wild priced at $4.99.

US retailer Target has begun selling 30680 AAT online, with the packaging for the LEGO Star Wars polybag also revealing the official Episode I: The Phantom Menace logo. The image shows Darth Maul locked in lightsaber combat with what looks to be Obi-Wan Kenobi over a large number ‘25’ and the prequel film’s title treatment underneath.

That legitimately makes 30680 AAT the first official 2024 set to be based on Episode I: The Phantom Menace, which could suggest that more could be on their way throughout 2024 and feature the same logo branding. However, do take any such musings with a pinch of salt for now, until such time as more details of the LEGO Group’s plans for the film and theme's 25th anniversary celebrations are revealed.
