The true form of the Onyx Cinder is a sleeker ship with a pointed front and only the two sets of engines at the back of the ship, with the rest of the craft being part of a hull that can be removed from the ship in an emergency via an explosive but planned detonation.

It's an odd but interesting fact that links the two ships and their LEGO Star Wars sets and probably wasn't planned by the LEGO Star Wars team.
