After selling out in Australia, LEGO Star Wars 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser is already selling secondhand at huge markups.
Predictably, the latest LEGO Star Wars UCS set is off to a flying start, rapidly going into backorders in the United States and selling out completely in Australia. Unfortunately for Australian fans of the set who hadn't yet managed to secure a copy for themselves, 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser is already retailing at eye-watering prices on eBay, at around 33% markups.
Ordinarily, 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser sells for $999.99 (AUD) but eBay listings have already surfaced selling the set in its box for as much as $1,315.00. That's just under a third of the RRP on top, just days after its release.
Inflating prices for secondhand sets is part of the reason why the LEGO Group limits purchases to three or sometimes five sets per purchase. It's worth noting that if 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser has sold out in your region, LEGO UCS sets like this one will come back in stock eventually and tend to stick around for a few years, at least. While it might be frustrating to wait, you'll likely pay less by buying directly from the LEGO Group or from a trusted third-party retailer, as well as getting that quality assurance that it's a legitimate set with all its parts intact.
[bdproduct search='star wars' sort='discount' numberOfRecord='4' brand='' sliderMinValues='0' sliderMaxValues='750']Plus, it's not only LEGO sets in their entirety that can get sold at astonishingly high prices, but there are already Bricklink listings selling 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser in Europe selling the parts of the ship and instructions for as high as €350, with the seller keeping the exclusive minifigures and Clone Wars plaque for themselves.

For those who only want the Venator ship itself, this could work out as a pretty good deal, but it's hard to quantify the value of the minifigures versus the ship. Shaving off around €200 from a 5,374-piece build by giving up the minifigures could well suit someone looking to complete a display of LEGO UCS ships, where the minifigures might get lost in a packed LEGO Star Wars shelf anyway.
If you are shopping in Europe, however, you can still buy LEGO Star Wars 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser directly from the LEGO Group at the time of writing, which will earn you all four available GWPs at the same time. This includes 5008162 Collectible: Clone Wars E, a metal token with two iron-on versions of the minifigures included in 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser. This GWP has been rapidly selling out in some other regions around the world, so shopping directly with the LEGO Group while you still can could be well worth your time if you're in the market for what will likely end up being a relatively rare collectible.
