LEGO The Legend of Zelda 2026 tease makes one decision even harder

LEGO The Legend of Zelda has a new set coming in 2026, but it makes a decision for 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 more difficult to make.

The LEGO Group has officially teased that there's a new The Legend of Zelda set coming next year, and it's clear to see from the teaser trailer that it's going to be based on The Ocarina of Time. It will follow 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 from 2024, which can be built into a model based on either Breath of the Wild or Ocarina of Time, but not both games at once.

This means that, unless you're willing to rebuild a substantial chunk of 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1, you'll have to pick one of the two games to represent through the set. A small side build for each game can remain constructed at all times, being the Master Sword shrine for Breath of the Wild and Link's house for the Ocarina of Time. However, the main tree itself will look very different.

This decision has not been made easier by the speculation that the 2026 set is based on The Ocarina of Time. On the one hand, you can build the Ocarina of Time version of 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 to create a cohesive display alongside Link's house, leaving just a small section to pay tribute to Breath of the Wild.

On the other hand, and assuming that the second LEGO The Legend of Zelda set will be a decent size, building 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 into its Breath of the Wild form means that you can have a decent display for Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild at once. By using the 2026 set and Link's house from the 2024 model for Ocarina of Time, it may contrast with the singular build for Breath of The Wild's Deku Tree to create a more balanced display for the two games.

Ultimately, the decision will still come down to which game you prefer more, and you can always use the leftover pieces to make something extra. While you decide and wait for the 2026 set to be revealed and launch, 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 is available now for £259.99 / $299.99 / €299.99. Black Friday 2025 will hopefully be a good time to catch up on the set, with the LEGO Group's official deals yet to be detailed.
