The LEGO Transformers range is rumoured to continue next year, finally adding a Deception to battle Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.
Years after LEGO Transformers started without a Decepticon in sight, the relatively reliable Clay Bricks on Reddit has shared (via 4chan user Kramer) that Soundwave is believed to be a future LEGO Transformers set.
Debuting LEGO Decepticons with Soundwave makes sense over Megatron since his original transformation wouldn't be suitable for a LEGO model, without adapting it accordingly. Comparatively, Soundwave transforms into a boombox much like
No further details are rumoured at the time of writing but Soundwave features prominently in the Transformers movies, including in Bumblebee and Transformers One. In all appearances, Soundwave makes use of various minions.
These minions would be perfect (but challenging) inclusions in a LEGO Transformers set and they include Frenzy, Ravage, Ravage Drones, Laserbeak, Laserbeak Drones, Rumble, Ratbat, Buzzsaw, Beastbox and Howlback. Any one of these characters would be great in a physical LEGO Soundwave model.
