Upcoming LEGO Wednesday set is ideal upscaled accessory

One of two new LEGO Wednesday sets coming later this year will be a lot more appealing for those with one of a trio of minifigure models.

Two new LEGO Wednesday models were recently revealed, including 76785 Thing's Apartment, recreating Thing's new home within the converted trunk. The £74.99 / $89.99 / €79.99 model launching on October 1 can convert into a standard-looking chest, and its size is nearly perfectly to scale with a trio of LEGO models.

At 23cm wide, 76785 Thing's Apartment is just over double the width of the legs in 40504 A Minifigure Tribute, 40649 Up-Scaled LEGO Minifigure and 40819 Up-Scaled Racing Driver Minifigure. Each of those minifigure models recreates a standard minifigure at a larger scale, upscaling their two-stud legs accordingly.

A LEGO treasure chest to scale with minifigures is four studs wide, and since 76785 Thing's Apartment is just over double the width of the legs of the three upscaled LEGO minifigure models, the LEGO Wednesday Season 2 model will function perfectly as an upscaled LEGO treasure chest.

This means the build will be ideal as an accessory to the upscaled LEGO minifigure builds, and its chest nature will go perfectly with 40504 A Minifigure Tribute from the LEGO House in Billund. The fact that the exterior of this LEGO Wednesday model is light on series-specific details greatly helps the illusion that it's an upscaled LEGO chest.

For anyone with a copy of 40504 A Minifigure Tribute, 76785 Thing's Apartment looks set to be the perfect accompanying build while closed. This new LEGO Wednesday set launches on October 1 for £74.99 / $89.99 / €79.99 alongside 76786 Morticia’s Cottage.
