LEGO Wicked mini-dolls officially revealed, but no sign of sets

An official Brickified trailer has given us our first look at LEGO Wicked mini-dolls releasing later this year, but no set images just yet.

The LEGO Group has been teasing Wicked fans for a while now with hints of a theme based on the popular stage musical and two upcoming films. A recent announcement revealed that four LEGO Wicked sets will be launching on October 1, 2024, ahead of the first movie releasing on November 27, with a sequel due to arrive autumn 2025.

Following a subtle social media post yesterday, the LEGO Group has now dropped a Brickified version of the full Wicked trailer, with the footage including a first look at the upcoming theme’s mini-dolls, but no official sets just yet.

A LEGO Wicked landing page is already live and features silhouettes of Elphaba and Galinda’s mini-dolls, based on Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande’s portrayals of the characters. Thanks to the trailer, we now get a good glimpse at both witches of Oz, as well as a number of movie locations.

While the footage in the Brickified video emulates the film’s trailer, there are no guarantees that the final LEGO Wicked sets and accompanying mini-dolls will be the same. However, we do get to see multiple versions of Elphaba and Galinda, as well as Jeff Goldblum’s Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Michelle Yeoh’s Madame Morrible and many other characters.

We also spotted at least three different hair pieces for Elphaba, as she slowly transforms into the Wicked Witch of the West, as well as a witch’s hat and hair element.

We’ll hopefully find out everything we need to know about the full wave of LEGO Wicked sets soon and will bring you the first official details as soon as they become available.
