The tallest minifigure in the world has been revealed by LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, constructed to promote its new duelling rollercoaster ride.
If you’re looking for a fun family day out this coming Easter, then a visit to LEGOLAND Windsor Resort might well be in order. The UK theme park will be opening up a brand new £10 million thrill ride just in time for the festive period and it’s an attraction that will include a giant-sized surprise.
Minifigure Speedway will be the first LEGO duelling rollercoaster ride and features Team Legends and Team All Stars cars that race forwards and in reverse at speeds of up to 56km/h. In addition, the fast-paced attraction will be watched over by Roxie, the largest minifigure that’s ever been constructed.
Weighing over 6 tonnes and standing a whopping 30 feet tall, the world’s tallest minifigure is exclusive to LEGOLAND Windsor Resort and the official mascot of the new Minifigure Speedway rollercoaster. Although not constructed from actual LEGO bricks, Roxie is said to have been assembled by ‘a specialist pit crew’ and should prove to be an impressive sight at the resort.
Helen Bull, Divisional Director at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, said: “It’s a big day for all the team at the Resort to see the world’s tallest minifigure, Roxie, take pride of place in our new attraction, Minifigure Speedway. There’s nowhere else in the world you can see Roxie, she’s entirely bespoke to us here at LEGOLAND Windsor – we can’t wait for everyone to see her!”
The Minifigure Speedway ride features state-of-the-art technology and a dynamic dual-track layout and is reported to be part of LEGOLAND Windsor Resort’s push to create a world-class resort destination of the future.
LEGOLAND Windsor Resort will open its doors to visitors this February half-term, where they’ll be able to try out Minifigure Speedway in person and check out the towering Roxie herself.
