There's not one but two opportunities to pick up free LEGO by heading into your local LEGO store next month.
The LEGO Group has announced two in-store events for March, falling on consecutive weekends – and both offer the chance to go home with some free extra LEGO in your pocket. The first is between 10am and 12pm on March 2 and between 12pm and 2pm on March 3, in honour of Mother's Day (which falls on March 10 this year). Participants will be able to build a minature white frame, ideal for putting a family photo in to celebrate the holiday.
The following weekend there's another event to get stuck into, with the LEGO Group's Animal Crossing event. Running between 10am and 12pm on March 9 and between 12pm and 2pm on March 10, it offers the chance to build a LEGO Animal Crossing Fauna House model, depicting a tiny red and white house complete with a little puff of smoke from the chimney made from an ice cream element.
It's worth noting that there's limited availability of both builds and each person is limited to one model. Hopeful builders are advised to arrive early to ensure they snag their copy, although stock is reserved to supply visitors across both days. You can find participating stores near you here.
