Marvel fans are hoping missing LEGO Avengers Tower minifigure is a mistake

An enormous minifigure cast for the rumoured LEGO Marvel Avengers Tower is missing one key character.

While LEGO Marvel 76269 Avengers Tower is only a rumour for now, fans are already noticing that one pretty important character is missing from the alleged minifigure line-up. Despite Pietro Romanoff (aka Quicksilver, twin brother to Wanda, the Scarlet Witch) being a crucial character and ultimately (spoiler alert) the emotional death at the climax of the movie, his minifigure isn't believed to make an appearance.

According to rumours reported by brick_clicker on Instagram, there will be 22 minifigures featured in the set, including new designs for two Iron Man suits, a big-fig Hulk, Vision, Falcon, the Wasp, Ultron, Hawkeye, Helen Cho, and an Antman microfigure. On top of these exclusive ones, it's believed that repeats of Thor, Tony Stark, Captain America, Black Widow, War Machine, Scarlet Witch, Pepper Potts, Nick Fury, Wong, and four Chitauri will also appear.

Marvel fans are already pointing out the apparent missing link in the minifigure chain, with one person writing on Instagram: "Wait No Quicksilver?" on our Instagram post, while more joined the call for him to appear elsewhere. Of course, if the rumours are true, then it's far too late in the design cycle for Quicksilver to be added in. Nonetheless, rumours sometimes get proved wrong – which is why we'd encourage you to take this with the usual pinch of salt until we get official confirmation from the LEGO Group.
