Six missing Easter eggs in LEGO 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger

LEGO Icons 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger brings the beloved franchise back to the portfolio after a decade, but misses some Easter eggs.

The new LEGO Icons 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger is just weeks away, and while we wait to get our hands on the first The Simpsons set in a decade, we can only admire the Easter eggs scattered throughout the set, as highlighted in our thorough review.

10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger is far from comprehensive with references, though. It's missing a few surprising moments from the series and movie that would have been perfect in the new LEGO Icons model, even as stickers. Here's what's been missed in the latest LEGO The Simpsons set, which launches on June 1 for LEGO Insiders for £179.99 / $209.99 / €199.99.

6 – Steamed Hams

The legacy of the Steamed Hams meme is nothing short of legendary at this point, with The Simpsons fans across the internet tasking themselves with remixing the scene in a variety of different ways. Whichever version of the clip you have watched, you'll know that Krusty Burger plays a role in the meme, providing the Steamed Hams themselves.

It's surprising to see that the iconic meme is nowhere to be seen in 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger, though it admittedly doesn't take place in Krusty Burger. Instead of being featured in the set itself, though, Steamed Hams would have been a great candidate for a set-exclusive gift-with-purchase, recreating Skinner's Kitchen for you to pose it overlooking the LEGO Icons model. Instead, the free The Simpsons Living Room is the exclusive gift-with-purchase at launch.

5 – Menu changes

The menu changes prompted by corporate parent Kumamoto come as a major surprise to Homer in the Season 28 episodes, with new items including the Buttermilk Sriracha Sandwich, Kobe Shiitake Ciabatta Explosion, and Hanoi Honey Barbecue Banh Mi Pho-furter.

The menu board in 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger is much more familiar though, presenting a missed opportunity for the designers to include either an alternate set of stickers with the Japan-inspired menu items, or adding a few of them to the standard menu as an Easter egg.

4 – A different drive-thru vehicle

Lou's presence in 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger might seem unusual, but replacing the clown-themed sedan with something considerably more normal would have helped the minifigure's inclusion make much more sense.

The drive-thru clip from the first episode of the seventh season sees a mishap with Wiggum's weight occur, tipping the police truck and releasing Homer inside. Even without Wiggum in the LEGO Icons set, such a vehicle would make Lou's presence in 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger more understandable.

3 – Spider-Pig and the Clogger

Looking towards The Simpsons Movie, it's surprising to see absolutely no references to Spider-Pig's debut in 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger. While a printed pig piece would have been ideal, even a poster advertising the Clogger burger from his debut would have sufficed.

Whether this is due to licensing issues, since this reference is from the movie and not the TV series, is unknown. Either way, the list of things that Spider-Pig does doesn't include a LEGO Easter egg.

2 – Grampa's job

Abe Simpson's brief stint as a worker at the Krusty Burger drive-thru should have inspired another Easter egg in some form, too. Finding a place for such a reference, beyond including a minifigure, would be a challenge.

Opting for a sticker of the dials he uses would be the most obvious choice, but whether it would be a clear enough link to this clip is up for debate. Either way, anyone with Abe's old minifigure have a new home for him in the 2025 LEGO Icons set.

1 – Dr. Nick's Window To Weight Gain

The back of 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger is expectedly sparse, leaving plenty of room for additional Easter eggs. As well as those that decorate the walls in the official set, there's one potential Easter egg missing from the back of the build.

Hollywood Upstairs Medical College graduate Dr. Nick Riviera's advice to get Homer to gain weight fast sees him showcase a unique nutrition pyramid with many familiar sweet and unhealthy treats for Homer to consume. Given the trip to Krusty Burger in the King Size Homer episode, featuring this pyramid as a sticker at the back of 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger is nothing short of a missed opportunity.
