More rumoured details on LEGO City summer sets emerge

The latest LEGO City rumours include details on new jungle sub-theme moulds, set descriptions, and more.

Polish LEGO fan site Fanklockow has delivered a bumper pack of rumoured details about LEGO City summer 2024 sets, including a report of a set not yet seen on the rumour mill. Plus, there are more expected details for the rumoured jungle sub-theme. All of the rumoured sets mentioned in this article are now believed to be coming in June 2024, rather than the previous general release of sometime in the summer.

There's a breakdown of the details at the bottom of the page or read on for detailed descriptions of several rumoured LEGO City sets. Note that the pictures used throughout are from existing LEGO sets and are not meant to refer to the rumoured sets.

60407 Tourist Bus

60407 Tourist Bus now has more rumoured details, with Fanklockow reporting that the set will feature a tourist coach, with an entirely removable upper floor to access the interior. You can load strollers onto the bus, which is lucky because 60407 Tourist Bus reportedly will feature a new mould for a baby stroller. Five minifigures are expected to be included, including one child.

60408 Sports Car Transporter

60408 Sports Car Transporter will reportedly include four cars, alongside the titular transporter in the form of a blue tow truck. The truck has a tilting cab, so you can access the engine once it's built. The other three cars include a muscle car, a modern electric vehicle, and a 70s-style car. Four minifigures are believed to be includes as well.

60409 Construction Car

60409 Construction Car sees the return of a large crane with lots of interactive parts, including a foldable arm, a movable hook, and foldable support arms. It's reportedly mobile, mounted on a whopping 16 wheels. Although we don't yet have a rumoured piece count, this suggests it will be a large size warranting the $109.99 price tag.

The LEGO City set will also reportedly include a portable toilet, to provide services to its four minifigures, made up of three construction workers and an architect.

60420 Heavy Duty Excavator

Next up is 60420 Heavy Duty Excavator, another larger construction set. The excavator will be mounted on tracks and with a rotatable cabin to house its three minifigures (two workers and an architect). Two brick-built barriers and charging bricks should also be included and the accessories include plans that show the team is working on building an ice cream shop on the site.

60421 Robot World Rollercoaster

Moving away from the world of construction now, 60421 Robot World Rollercoaster offers minifigures something to do in their spare time. The set is rumoured to include a gaming zone full of slot machines, a bar, a cash register, and a DJ booth. A robet mech is also believed to feature, where one of the eight included minifigures can sit. A drone is also expected. 60421 Robot World Rollercoaster has a colour scheme of a black and blue building with purple details and lime tracks for the rollercoaster itself.

60422 Seaside Harbour with Cargo Ship

Heading to the harbour, 60422 Seaside Harbour with Cargo Ship will feature a brick-built port divided into zones: industrial, featuring a working crane, and recreational, kitted out with a seafood restaurant, ice cream shop, beach, and pier. The cargo boat included will be made up of orange, green, and white elements and is large enough to fit two containers. There's also a jet ski and pedal boat attached for the set's eight minifigure to use (broken down into three port workers, two children, a tourist, a fisherman, and an ice cream shop worker).

Moving onto previously-rumoured LEGO City jungle-themed sets, Fanklockow reports that the jungle sets will seemingly be able to combine together into one larger model. Fresh moulds are also believed to be on the way, including both large and small gorillas, small red pandas, and a new tiger cast. Across all sets, the vehicles will have a uniform colour of navy blue and orange.

60424 Jungle Quad Bike with Red Panda

Digging into the sets themselves, 60424 Jungle Quad Bike with Red Panda could be the first opportunity to get your hands on the new red panda mould, alongside an explorer minifigure that's expected to be a reference to Johnny Thunder.

60425 Jungle Explorer Plane

Next up is 60425 Jungle Explorer Plane, believed to feature a small brick-built cave as part of the jungle landscape, two explorer minifigures, and three crocodiles (two adults and one baby).

60426 Jungle Explorer Off-Road Vehicle

60426 Jungle Explorer Off-Road Vehicle should be larger than the first two jungle-themed models, judging from its previously-rumoured price of $29.99, $10 higher than 60425 Jungle Explorer Plane. The set will reportedly include a camera on a boom in the back of the vehicle and brick-built storage boxes above the wheels. As well as the off-road-vehicle itself, 60426 Jungle Explorer Off-Road Vehicle will also include a large section of brick-built jungle, including a cave sheltered under a tree with bones under it.

Three explorer minifigures are expected to be included too, as well as the new cast of dark orange tiger. The animal is believed to be structured like the new horse figures, meaning it can stand on its high legs in a dramatic pose.

60435 4+ Tow Truck & Sports Car

Leaving the jungle for now, 60435 4+ Tow Truck & Sports Car will seemingly include a car jack and two minifigures. Being one of the only 4+ sets from the summer wave, this should be a fairly simple build.

60437 Jungle Helicopter & Explorer Base

And we're back in the jungle with 60437 Jungle Helicopter & Explorer Base, believed to include synchronised double rotors, a cargo hole, a working cargo winch, an opening cockpit, and a ramp at the rear. As well as the brick-built helicopter, the LEGO City set is believed to include a motorcycle, a swamp boat, and a small base – all of which should fit within the main build.

To flesh out the model, 60437 Jungle Helicopter & Explorer Base is also rumoured to feature jungle scenery, five minifigures (a pilot, a cartographer, a mechanic, a photographer, and a medic), alongside two new moulds for large gorillas (one with a raised left paw) and one small gorilla, also in a new mould.

60440 LEGO Delivery Truck

60440 LEGO Delivery Truck (a translated name that is likely subject to change) is believed to be an exclusive LEGO City set. Made up of 1,061 parts with a rumoured price of 469.99 PLN (around £93), 60440 LEGO Delivery Truck includes a yellow delivery truck, with a sleeping area and accessible engine. It's also expected to include elements that appear as if the truck is made of blocks that are falling apart (either stickered or printed). The inside of the trailer can be seen from either side, featuring four pallets stacked with goods, two sets of blocks, and an astronaut figure, meant to simulate a large exhibition model made of blocks (perhaps on its way 10326 Natural History Museum?)

The LEGO City set is believed to include a blue forklift and a hot dog stand, to feed the set's minifigures of a driver, a forklift operator, and two warehouse workers.
