A new theme codenamed 'Buffalo' could be coming later this year as rumours and listings suggest another addition to the LEGO portfolio.
Instagram user 1414falconfan has pointed out a couple of listings on retailer Libreria El Laberinto's website that suggest that a new theme codenamed 'Buffalo is launching later this year. The user states they are coming in the summer, but the listings only mention 2024 with no specific day or month.
There are rumoured to be two sets in the theme using the numbers 76780 and 76781 featuring 702 and 750 pieces respectively. LEGO theme codenames don't necessarily have to reference the identity of the theme in any way, as is rumoured to be the case for LEGO Despicable Me 4. Further examples include 'Lemon' for Sonic the Hedgehog and 'Coconut' for Avatar.
The listings include 'ip', suggesting this may be a small licensed theme, but nothing more is rumoured or listed at the time of writing and there's not a lot of information to go on for now. Instagram user exabrickslegogo_ has stated that it could be based on a movie or TV series.
Given the nature of the rumoured information (or lack thereof at the time of writing) and the listings, we'd advise taking this news with an especially large pinch of salt until anything official is announced.
