The Marvel Cosplay Contest at New York Comic Con had a strong LEGO presence this year, from the judge panel to the array of prizes on offer.
NYCC's Marvel Cosplay Contest saw dozens of talented cosplayers take to the stage to show off their creations. Some stuck to traditional comic or movie accurate versions of characters like Ant-Man, Wolverine, and the Fantastic Four, while others put their own twists on favourite characters.
Some stand-outs featured in a video from Marvel Studios include Bake M'Baku, accompanied by a gingerbread Black Panther and a member of the Dora Milaje, and Mr Fantastic with enormous stretching arms.
The ultimate winner, however, was Doctor Doom on a dinosaur, complete with a roaring monster in a matching hood to Doom's signature look.
The runner-ups and the winner all took home LEGO Marvel sets as prices, with Doctor Doom's first place earning themself 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion. That makes them among the very first to ever build the LEGO Marvel set, which doesn't come out until November 1 for LEGO Insiders and November 4 for everyone else.
