On yonder LEGO Ideas, there stood a Highland Coo

It's time for the LEGO Ideas team to venture to the Scottish Highlands, thanks to the latest fan-designed project to make it past the 10k threshold.

Fan designer Stormpathes has had their first design get past 10,000 votes on LEGO Ideas in the form of an adorable Highland Cow, complete with (brick-built) shaggy orange fur, curling horns, and a bright pink nose. A staple of the Scottish Highlands and a symbol of Scotland, the Highland cow (known as coo in Scotland) is instantly recognisable for its bright coat.

Stormpathes has brought their build to life by taking some photos of the coo in the countryside that could even be Scotland itself (judging from the moody grey clouds overhead). The horns are apparently posable, so you can choose how your coo's horns grow and the signature tail has been captured through clever use of a croissant.

Of course, there's still a way to go before the Highland Cow could make it onto shelves. Here's a reminder of all the other sets that the LEGO Ideas team will be considering in the first review round of 2024.
