The perfect partner for the LEGO Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut

The latest LEGO up-scaled minifigure set is going to pair perfectly with the other six sculptures, as well as a seventh at the same scale.

The LEGO Group recently lifted the curtain on 40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure, which follows in the footsteps of six other up-scaled minifigures, three of which are available now on the official online store and in LEGO stores. This includes 40649 Up-Scaled LEGO Minifigure, 40820 Up-Scaled Santa Minifigure and 40819 Up-Scaled Racing Driver Minifigure. There are also three other sets in this collection from a retired LEGO Harry Potter set and a LEGO House exclusive, which are retired or harder to find.

Those who managed to display all seven or even the four currently available and launching this month together will have a great minifigure tribute in their home, but doing so is undoubtedly expensive. The four current sets are £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99 each or £219.96 / $239.96 / €239.96 in total.

Thankfully, anyone opting for a Classic Space-centric display can make a much more affordable display using the upcoming 40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure and one other set. 40767 Up-Scaled Baby Astronaut was offered with qualifying orders from LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores from May 15 to 23 last year, and returned briefly in August, too.

The baby astronaut build is designed to be at the same scale as 40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure and the rest of the up-scaled sculptures. There's unfortunately no guarantee that it will return after 40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure lands on shelves on March 1, despite how perfectly they are going to pair.

Anyone who missed out on the gift-with-purchase last year is going to want to head to the secondary marketplace, such as on BrickLink, while you can. It's currently going for an average of just over £20, but it wouldn't be surprising to see demand increase now that 40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure has been revealed.
