Ratatouille is being pitched for a LEGO Ideas set again, but the recipe this time calls for a drastically different approach than the last three tries.
Alfstuff is attempting to bring Ratatouille to LEGO Ideas again after a trio of unapproved projects from years gone by. This time though, they're massively switching up the recipe by not proposing any minifigures or minifigure-scale models. Instead, they're pitching a BrickHeadz duo based on the Disney and Pixar movie.
This is a drastically different approach to the film as has been proposed before, but whether it will be the recipe that the LEGO Ideas team are looking for has yet to be determined.
One potential issue with this project is that BrickHeadz is its own theme and a crossover between it and LEGO Ideas may be more challenging logistically for the LEGO Group than expected. There is another solution to cover Ratatouille while staying true to the proposed project though.
21308 Adventure Time from 2017 offered a range of brick-built figures based on the animated series in a distinct style that has yet to return in the theme. While Ratatouille minifigures would be ideal, this project may be an opportunity to bring back the Adventure Time figure concept.
For now, the Ratatouille submission joins 18 other projects in the third LEGO Ideas 2024 review, which boasts another Disney property too (twice) following
