Our newest guide to the 2025 retiring LEGO sets determines whether to buy, wait or skip every LEGO Speed Champions model retiring in 2025.
Similar to our previous guides to Star Wars, Icons, Ideas and Harry Potter’s retiring sets, we’ll weigh whether you need to buy each of these sets as soon as you can (ideally with a decent gift-with-purchase/double points event), wait for a good saving (with several already available), or skip them completely in favour of something else in the fast theme.
Race through the list of retiring LEGO Speed Champions sets below, and head here to find a complete list of all LEGO sets retiring in 2025.
LEGO Speed Champions 76920 Ford Mustang Dark Horse isn't the most exciting build in the theme, but may yet have a purpose in your collection. With 344 pieces, this build doesn't manage to showcase many particularly exciting techniques, coming across as a more standard-looking car than other Speed Champions sets. That may make it a better fit for a vehicle driving down the streets of your modular city, though. Look out for deals on this LEGO Speed Champions set

76921 Audi S1 e-tron quattro
As mentioned in our review of 76921 Audi S1 e-tron quattro, this car creation is sublime and unlike anything else in the theme. Still, with an excessive amount of stickers and the lack of a Ken Block minifigure, it's not a LEGO Speed Champions set to prioritise immediately. It would be a shame to miss out on this unique vehicle build, so keep your eyes peeled for deals before this LEGO Speed Champions set retires at the end of the year.

76922 BMW M4 GT3 & BMW M Hybrid V8
The 76922 BMW M4 GT3 & BMW M Hybrid V8 double pack have an appealing colour scheme and some fun techniques, but it's not one to pick up before its retirement for some challenging and frustrating stickers and overly complex designs that put the pedal a little too close to the metal, crashing out rather than reaching top speed. You can find out more in our review.
A standout build for LEGO Speed Champions in 2024 is retiring soon, and it's one you won't want to miss, despite any first impressions you have. 76923 Lamborghini Lambo V12 Vision GT Super Car is one of the most impressive builds in LEGO Speed Champions to date, masterfully approaching the concept car from Gran Turismo, making clever compromises to ensure that it's sturdy, but accurate. Do not miss 76923 Lamborghini Lambo V12 Vision GT Super Car, even at its RRP of £20.99 / $26.99 / €26.99.
Formula 1 is all the rage in LEGO Speed Champions this year, and it's surprising to see that the theme is without a new safety car set to accompany the 10 race cars. Thankfully, there's still time to pick up 76925 Aston Martin Safety Car & AMR23, complete with both a rare LEGO safety car and a Formula 1 build that will scale perfectly with the newer sets.
76935 NASCAR Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is another worthy contender for a last-minute LEGO Speed Champions purchase before it retires at the end of 2025. Considering how rare NASCAR models are, and not just in LEGO Speed Champions, this build is one you won't want to miss. Deals on 76935 NASCAR Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 aren't uncommon, though and with a decent saving, it's worth adding to your collection, despite a less interesting model than other retiring LEGO Speed Champions sets.
Now that Audi is taking over the KICK Sauber team in the 2026 season of Formula 1, it's more than likely going to come with a significant redesign of the car's paint job, essentially making 77247 KICK Sauber F1 Team C44 Race Car an irrelevant build. Unless you simply need to have all 10 LEGO Formula 1 2025 Speed Champions cars, or are a huge fan of the team in its current iteration, you can safely skip out on this set ahead of its impending retirement. There are nine other similar builds to prioritise anyway.
Verdict: Skip
