We've uncovered the LEGO Trevi Fountain 'conspiracy theory'

LEGO Architecture sets have been following a recurring, curious pattern, including the recent reveal of 21062 Trevi Fountain.

Looking over the most recent LEGO Architecture sets in the wake of the official reveal of 21062 Trevi Fountain, Brick Fanatics' Matthew spotted a growing trend. The real-life Trevi Fountain was only just freed from some scaffolding after some necessary renovations – which isn't the first time a LEGO set has been released around the same time as the real-life counterpart has needed a facelift.

Coincidence? In the case of the Trevi Fountain, 2025 is the Roman Catholics Jubilee Year where hundreds of thousands of people will flock to Rome. It's no wonder that Rome wanted to clean up the fountain, and also no wonder that the LEGO Group chose to release a Roman structure.
