Rumoured LEGO Fantastic Four Galactus set should look familiar

The first trailer for the MCU Fantastic Four film suggests that the rumoured LEGO Fantastic Four Galactus set may look familiar.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps' trailer is now available, offering the first look at the Marvel Cinematic Universe's take on the superhero team and rumour has it that the film is getting a corresponding LEGO Marvel set later this year.

76316 Galactus vs The Fantastic Four is rumoured by Instagram user a.clay.brick to be released this June, with the movie scheduled to debut starting July 23, with a release in the US on July 25.

Rumour has it that the 427-piece model will be based on the new film with all of the Fantastic Four as minifigures – even The Thing. Despite his bulkier frame, Ben Grimm is depicted in the new film as being the same size overall as the rest of the team. With this context, a minifigure over a bigfig makes perfect sense for the rumoured set.

Galactus is also rumoured to be included in the set and while he could take many forms, the trailer offers our first look at the MCU's take on the character. Thankfully, it's far more reminiscent of his comic appearance compared to previous Fantastic Four movies with the iconic helmet shape in clear view.

This classic look pairs nicely with the Fantastic Four's new outfits, and based on the trailer, the rumoured movie model should look overall familiar to film and comic fans alike, with plenty of crossover in the character's designs. Galactus' only LEGO appearance so far has been in the LEGO Marvel video games, where he used the comics as the main inspiration.

It's also worth noting that Galactus is seen at seemingly different sizes in the trailer, meaning the reported Galactus figure may be smaller than expected and still be accurate.
