Rumoured details surface for LEGO Formula 1 sets across Icons and City

More rumoured details have been revealed about LEGO City and Icons Formula 1 sets said to be coming to shelves in 2025 as part of a wider partnership.

Clay Brick on Instagram reported fresh rumoured details on their Instagram stories about LEGO Formula 1 sets across City and Icons for 2025, citing a new source that was later corroborated in part by the usually reliable Brick Clicker. Without confirmation from the LEGO Group, you should certainly take these details with a hefty pinch of salt but they align with earlier rumours from other reliable sources too.

In LEGO City, we now have set names for three sets: 60443 Pit Crew, 60444 Formula 1 Start/Finish Straight, and 60445 Alpine/Mercedes Garage. These sound like they're more descriptive than final set names but they do give us fairly clear ideas of what we could expect.

All three of those sets were previously rumoured to be coming out in January 2025, with 60443 Pit Crew said to cost $29.99 for 322 pieces, 60444 Formula 1 Start/Finish Straight priced at $79.99 for 678 pieces, and 60445 Alpine/Mercedes Garage priced at $99.99 for 1,086 pieces.

The set names give us an idea that, as seemed logical, LEGO City will be the avenue for the LEGO Group to go beyond the track, showcasing pit lane workers and engineers in the garage. It's also interesting to note that 60445 Alpine/Mercedes Garage mentions Alpine alongside Mercedes, offering hope that sets beyond just LEGO Speed Champions will pay attention to some of the mid-pack Formula 1 teams, as well as the heavy-hitters like Red Bull, Ferrari, Mclaren, and Mercedes.

There were also more rumoured details for a LEGO Icons previously only known by its set number: 10353 Nigel Mansell's Formula 1 Car. This set was previously said to be priced at $69.99 for 797 pieces and releasing in March 2025. From the name and the size, it sounds like it will be a similar size and focus as 10330 McLaren MP4/4 & Ayrton Senna.

Nigel Mansell is a British former racing driver who competed in Formula 1 between 1980 and 1995, winning the Drivers' Championship in 1992 with Williams and winning a whopping 31 Grands Prix across 15 seasons. That makes him the second most successful British Formula One driver of all time in terms of race wins with 31 victories, beaten only by Lewis Hamilton.

Presumably, we could well get a detailed car build, perhaps with Williams branding to match the year he took home the Drivers' Championship, along with a minifigure of the iconic driver, much like 10330 McLaren MP4/4 & Ayrton Senna. Of course, these details are yet to be confirmed, so take it all with a pinch of salt for now.
