Secrets spotted in LEGO NINJAGO: Dragons Rising Season 3 teaser

The teaser for LEGO NINJAGO: Dragons Rising Season 3 is full of secrets despite its short length, including familiar sets and a less familiar sword.

A first look at LEGO NINJAGO: Dragons Rising Season 3 was shared online earlier today and while the teaser is only 30 seconds long, there's a lot for LEGO and NINJAGO fans to look out for, especially related to new and older NINJAGO models.

As well as showcasing the Forbidden Five in full, here are some of the secrets and details we spotted in the first teaser for LEGO NINJAGO: Dragons Rising Season 3, which will premiere worldwide on April 17. This is only speculation, but be warned that there may be some inadvertent spoilers for the upcoming season.

Unique Prismatic Blades

The Prismatic Blades are the latest important item for the ninjas and NINJAGO fans to collect in 2025 and while they use the same piece in the new sets, at least two different blades are featured in the trailer with one somewhat resembling the Master Sword from 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1.

It's not something that has translated to the physical sets so far, but it's interesting to know that the Prismatic Blades are visually distinct in the animated series despite the usage of an existing element.

Another pod

In the first season of LEGO NINJAGO: Dragons Rising, Zane was found in a technological pod in one of the new monasteries – the one in Imperium – and now another similar pod can be spotted in the teaser for the third season.

The camera cuts away just before the reveal of what is inside, a returning character in the early 2025 NINJAGO sets and the fact that Zane was found in the first one might offer a clue – Pixal.

Thunderfang in a familiar city

Thunderfan receives a grand reveal in the new teaser, recreated in 71832 Thunderfang Dragon of Chaos. The area surrounding him might look familiar though. The architecture and colour scheme resembles that of the City of Temples from Season 2.

This is a city featured in 71814 Tournament Temple City and given the city's connection to the Source Dragons, Thunderfang may have a good reason for attacking it. Alternatively, this might be an entirely new city re-using designs from last season.

Kai's Mech Storm Rider

71830 Kai's Mech Storm Rider's animated form is briefly included in the teaser, matching its appearance in the new set well with Kai's new mech riding on the back, gripping the handlebars as you would on a motorcycle.

Should the set further match the series, Nya is in the front seat and it's worth remembering that the end of Season 2 saw Kai promising Nya that they would go and look for Jay – maybe taking them away from the team for now.
