Six LEGO Star Wars sets we need from Andor Season 2

Six LEGO Star Wars sets we need from Andor Season 2

Andor Season 2 has wrapped up this week, putting a neat bow on this era of Star Wars – but for the LEGO Group, it should be just the beginning. Here are six sets we need from these 12 episodes…

The LEGO Star Wars team has conjured up two sets for the second season of Andor so far, 75399 Rebel U-wing Starfighter and 75434 K-2SO, but those really only skim the surface of what’s possible from this series. Because while Andor is arguably the least toyetic of any Star Wars property, there’s still plenty of material to mine across this latest batch of 12 episodes that lead right up to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Spoilers for all 12 episodes of Andor Season 2 follow.

6 – TIE Avenger

Andor Sienar Test Facility TIE Avenger

The most obvious LEGO Star Wars: Andor Season 2 set – and probably the most likely one on this list – is the TIE Avenger, which plays a pretty pivotal role in the first three-episode arc. Maybe more important than the ship itself, which is self-explanatory from a design perspective, is the minifigure line-up: we’d love to see it anchored to the Imperial facility from the opening of Season 2 rather than Yavin 4 or Mina-Rau, if only to get another Range Trooper…

5 – Brick-built B2EMO

Andor B2EMO 1024x576

The LEGO Group’s quest to build every Star Wars droid in bricks can’t stop short of Andor, even if B2EMO didn’t have quite so prominent a role in the second season as the first. We’re getting a minifigure-scale version of Bee-two in this year’s LEGO Star Wars advent calendar, so a large brick-built version – to scale with 75379 R2-D2, 75416 Chopper (C1-10P) and so on – is a must.

4 – Ghorman heist

Andor Season 2 Ghorman heist 1024x684

A LEGO set of the Ghorman massacre probably wouldn’t be very family-friendly, but it would be a shame to pass up Ghorman entirely. A playset anchored to the heist that takes place during the sixth episode, ‘What a Festive Evening’, could be a smart way to bring us minifigures of the Ghorman rebels (and maybe some Imperial army troopers) alongside a hint of the planet’s architecture, with the cargo transport vehicle forming the bulk of the build.

3 – ISB control room diorama

Andor ISB control room 1024x509

The Imperial Security Bureau’s control room may not be the most action-packed setting, but what it lacks in warfare it makes up for in tense character drama and stunning imagery. A diorama scene with Partagaz, Meero, Heert and Lonni minifigures would be a neat way to tick off a bunch of Andor’s chief antagonists within a striking and imposing build.

2 – Fondor Haulcraft

Star Wars Andor Fondor Haulcraft 1024x532

The set we really should have gotten with the first season of Andor, Luthen Rael’s Fondor Haulcraft has already become a fan-favourite Star Wars ship – and its brief appearances in Season 2 are hopefully enough to still justify turning it into a LEGO Star Wars model. It definitely wouldn’t be the most obscure Star Wars vehicle ever transformed into bricks, and it would be neat to get a minifigure of Luthen in his Coruscant disguise too.

1 – Yavin 4 Master Builder Series set

Andor Season 2 Yavin 4 1024x425

Here’s the big one: a Yavin 4 set that’s worthy of joining the Master Builder Series collection, which is currently comprised of only 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City and 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina. Doubling or tripling the budget of 2023’s 75365 Yavin 4 Rebel Base should be enough to give us a proper take on this most iconic of rebel locations as we see it in Andor, complete with a couple of properly-scaled starfighters, plenty of Rebel Alliance top brass (General Draven, Mon Mothma and so on) and maybe even Cassian's jungle home...

Are there any other LEGO Star Wars sets you want to see from Andor Season 2? Sound off in the comments below.

75399 Rebel U-wing Starfighter is available now (read our review here), while 75434 K-2SO is up for pre-order at LEGO.com and will ship from August 1.
