Official Star Wars site reveals Ahsoka’s Inquisitor isn’t what you think

New character descriptions added to the official Star Wars site reveal that Ahsoka’s Inquisitor Marrok isn’t quite what you think.

We’re now less than a month away from the arrival of Ahsoka on Disney+, with the live-action Star Wars show dropping its first two episodes on August 23. The series follows the former Jedi as she reunites with her Rebels crewmates to search for their lost friend, Ezra Bridger, and battle the emerging threat of a returning Grand Admiral Thrawn.

While some of the characters and ships due to appear in Ahsoka may be familiar to fans of a galaxy far, far away, there are many new mysterious additions to the franchise that will soon be revealed. To prepare viewers for their arrival, the official Star Wars website has debuted brief listings for the main players in the show, with hints of their past lives and potential motives.

Of particular interest is the black masked Marrok, who many might have thought would be a Sith warrior. However, the description for the character states that the former Inquisitor used to hunt Jedi for the Empire, but is now a mercenary for hire working for Thrawn’s ally, Morgan Elsbeth.

Baylan Skoll is also listed as being a mercenary and not a Jedi, although he did know Anakin Skywalker at one point. A shrewd fighter in search of power, Skoll oversee his apprentice Shin Hati, an adept lightsaber combatant who allies herself with her master and Elsbeth, the former Magistrate of Calodan. To find out more about these characters and more, we'll have to wait until August 23 when Ahsoka arrives on Disney+.

Three LEGO Star Wars sets based around the Ahsoka TV series were recently revealed, all of which will be released on September 1 and include minifigures of the characters mentioned above.
