Inspiration for a potential future LEGO Star Wars buildable figure may have just arrived courtesy of the latest episode of Skeleton Crew.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is currently streaming for all Disney+ subscribers, with the third episode of the latest live-action series set in galaxy far, far away having dropped yesterday. With three instalments under their belts, fans are starting to get to know the crew of the Onyx Cinder a little better, with new episodes of the show dropping weekly.
The LEGO Star Wars theme has already added a Skeleton Crew set to its line-up in the shape of 75374 The Onyx Cinder, a 1,325-piece model that launched months before the arrival of the series. With most of the main cast present as minifigures in the build (sorry, SM-33), inspiration for a potential future LEGO Star Wars set based on the show might well have popped up this week. *Spoilers ahead*

In episode three, ‘Very interesting, as an astrogation problem,’ fans are introduced to Ky’ymm, a sentient owl-like creature who operates a telescopic array on the Observatory Moon. Ky’ymm is an old friend of Jude Law’s Jod Na Nawood and attempts to assist the children find their way home.
The unique avian look and diminutive scale of Ky’ymm could well make the character a suitable candidate for a possible LEGO Star Wars buildable figure. We’ve had the likes of the now retired 75255 Yoda and 75335 BD-1, plus the upcoming 75403 Grogu with Hover Pram, and the feathery astronomer would fit right in beside those models.
As well as her feathery appearance, Ky’ymm boasted a brown cloak and belt, could be seen with a stack of datapads and was equipped with an AJ 6 cyborg construct on her head, similar to Lobot.
While we’ve had numerous brick-built versions of owls before, such a potential model could be a unique addition to the LEGO Star Wars theme and it’s possible the character may well become something of a fan-favourite now that she’s made her debut.
All three existing episodes of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew are available for Disney+ subscribers to watch right now, with the fourth instalment due to drop next week.
