The LEGO Botanical Collection has become a full theme

The LEGO Botanical Collection appears to have grown into its own theme, or at least that's what the official LEGO website suggests.

The LEGO Botanical Collection debuted in 2021 and consists of 16 sets from mostly LEGO Icons as well as a couple of entries from LEGO Creator. It's not uncommon for LEGO collections to span across multiple themes but it seems that the LEGO Botanical Collection is now a full theme.

Originally one of the many collections in LEGO Icons, including the likes of the Modular Buildings Collection, the official online LEGO store's themes page is now listing LEGO Icons alongside the LEGO Botanical Collection as two separate themes. It could be that this is just for marketing purposes, but no other theme on the page is quite like it.

It's not uncommon for a LEGO collection to span multiple themes including the new Fauna Collection and the various Space sets releasing in 2024. To our knowledge though, this would be the first time that such a range has grown into a new theme.

With 16 sets, the LEGO Botanical Collection has more models than the likes of LEGO Minions: The Rise of Gru, Trolls: World Tour and LEGO Art, so there's enough in the range to qualify it as a theme. It could be that LEGO.com is only displaying it separately for marketing purposes though all evidence available at the time of writing suggests that the LEGO Botanical Collection is now a theme.

The most recent LEGO Botanical Collection launch is 10328 Bouquet of Roses for £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99 with 822 pieces and it's available now online and in stores.
