This LEGO Star Wars TC-14 polybag has an incredible error

An incredible, but unfortunate LEGO Star Wars polybag error has surfaced online, swapping one essential and rare part for another.

2012's rare LEGO Star Wars 5000063 TC-14 minifigure polybag was offered during the year's May the 4th promotions, including a rare appearance of a chrome silver minifigure torso and legs. Not all that received the polybag have received these rare recolours, though.

Guilty_Bet64 has taken to the LEGO Star Wars subreddit to showcase their copy of the polybag, revealing that it comes with two chrome silver torsos and no legs. Notably, the extra torso has no printed or grey hands, indicating that an unfortunate error in production has caused one of the undecorated silver chrome torsos to come loose on the factory line and slip into the polybag in place of the legs.

As a string of comments points out, started by Leadnlasers, this error would be a good test of the LEGO Group's world-renowned customer service team to see whether they would even be able to restock the missing part over 10 years later, or what they might offer to compensate for the mistake.

While it's an unusual error, it's exciting for LEGO enthusiasts to admire, given how rare chrome minifigure elements are. Unfortunately for Guilty_Bet64, the only other LEGO set featuring chrome silver legs is the 4591726 Stormtrooper polybag from 2009.

Loose chrome silver legs cost around £34 on BrickLink at the time of writing, but you would be wise to keep such a polybag sealed. There's little doubt that this oddity will become a highly coveted collector's item now that it has been shared with the world. Whether they choose to sell it or not, Guilty_Bet64 has something incredible in their collection.
