Ahead of the launch of LEGO Pokémon next year, speculation into what kinds of builds the theme will inspire have now reached a popular street.
Some fans online have already explored the potential in a crossover between LEGO Architecture and Pokémon, but there's another kind of LEGO building that Stud City on YouTube thinks is ripe for a crossover with LEGO Pokémon.
The long-running LEGO Modular Buildings Collection has certainly seen some odd additions in the past few years, thanks to the continuous range of Marvel modular buildings. A crossover with Pokémon would be something even more outlandish, yet the YouTuber has proven that it can work in its own way.
The custom creation packs in a Pokémon Centre for healing Pokémon, a Poké Mart for purchasing items, as well as a Pokémon Gym to battle and get a badge on the top floor. It demonstrates how the most iconic Pokémon buildings can all fit into the footprint of a standard baseplate, across three floors.
Stud City's design embraces the appearance of Pokémon Centres from earlier games, with modern, curved windows and a bright colour scheme. Later games blend the services into the architecture of the buildings around them, which might work better for the official collection, similar to 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum.
One example of this is in the Paris-inspired Lumiose City in the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A game. The Pokémon Centre is featured on the left of the screenshot below.

Licensed modular buildings are nothing new, as Marvel has already been thoroughly exploring the concept with everything from standard-looking models in 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum to skyscrapers in
Either way, LEGO Pokémon has many other kinds of models to focus on at first next year. Additional builds, such as anything modular, are best held for later in the huge partnership's lifespan, when it would be necessary to shift the status quo.
It seems likely that the creatures themselves will be the absolute priority LEGO Pokémon starting in 2026, over trainer minifigures, or even minifigure-sized Pokémon. Despite this, we can't blame anyone for getting excited about this long-awaited partnership, and there are just six months to go until 2026.
