The 12 new LEGO Spider-Verse minifigures have plenty of reasons to collect all of them, but here's what those on a budget need to prioritise.
From Miles Morales to Web-Slinger, you'd be forgiven for wanting all 12 of the new minifigures in 71050 Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse at £3.49 / $4.99 / €4.99 each, coming to a total of £41.88 / $59.88 / €59.88, not counting any duplicates you might come across.
That total might be out of the reach of some fans' budgets, meaning you might want to pick a select few minifigures to prioritise. 71050 Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is based on the titular sequel to Into the Spider-Verse, with three characters in the minifigure series returning from that film. These are Gwen, Miles Morales and Peter B. Parker, now with baby Mayday. These are must-have minifigures for the characters alone, given that they're incredibly likely to return in the third film and can represent at least two movies in your collection.
Miles might not be quite as essential, following up on a minifigure from 76311 Miles Morales vs. The Spot with similar printing and an unmasked head. Anyone who owns the original LEGO Spider-Verse set will still want to grab the upgraded Gwen minifigure, though, featuring a new hair piece and much more detail. Peter is essential either way, only appearing in the new series.
Any enthusiasts with enough budget to pick another minifigure should then prioritise Spider-Man 2099, appearing only in a long-retired LEGO Marvel set aside from this series, which fetches high prices on the secondary market. This new minifigure comes with some Spider-Verse-specific details, as well as the cape.
There are still some more essential minifigures than others in 71050 Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse to consider, depending on your budget, including Spider-Punk and Spider-Man India with new pieces and a central role in the second film. Prowler looks likely to have a major role in the next Spider-Verse movie, too, in case you want to grab him in advance.
Otherwise, 71050 Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse's remaining minifigures mostly consist of multiversal variants and characters who didn't have much of a role in the first two films and, therefore, aren't a top priority for Marvel collectors. We'd note that Spider-Byte was at least seen in the closing moments of the movie, hinting at a role in the next film.
