Which LEGO The Legend of Zelda model should you build?

LEGO The Legend of Zelda 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 is nearly here, and time is running out to decide which version you want to build.

One of the biggest questions for The Legend of Zelda enthusiasts waiting for the launch of 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 on September 1 – just behind the question of the price tag – is which model to keep the set as. There are two builds in 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 to choose from based on Breath of the Wild and Ocarina of Time, using different amounts of the set's pieces to boot.

As detailed in our recent review, you have to decide which version of the build you're aiming for at one point in the instruction manual. You'd be wise to make your mind up before you start building, so you can appreciate the final model faster. There's of course the option to tear down the set and start over, opting for the other version. At 2,500 pieces and between six to eight hours of construction though, not everyone will have the time for that.

The two versions of 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 have multiple models. In the Breath of the Wild build, there's the main tree, the Master Sword pedestal, four smaller trees and various Koroks. In the Ocarina of Time version, there's the other depiction of the main tree, Link's house and a few brick-built creatures. Both builds leave the Master Sword pedestal and Link's house as well as the Koroks untouched, as Brickset details.

Now that you know the full contents of each version and what's left untouched between them, keep in mind that there will be quite a few leftover elements whichever way you lean, but there will be more left over when you build the Ocarina of Time model. There's no wrong model to opt for in 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 and you're welcome to build back and forth, but we imagine that many enthusiasts would prefer to finish their favourite The Legend of Zelda build and leave it on display. With the facts outlined, you can now decide which model you want to make before 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 launches at the end of this week, September 1.
