You might not love the latest LEGO Star Wars rumour

2024 is ending with one of the biggest (and most expensive) LEGO Star Wars rumours to date and it's one that your wallet won't be happy about.

Slipping into the final month of the year is a new LEGO Star Wars rumour that somehow managed to overshadow that of a $150 MTT build in 2025. According to fateful_04 on Instagram, who has been reliable in the past, October 2025 will bring a $1,000 LEGO Star Wars Death Star set to the Ultimate Collector Series.

With a pinch of salt on hand, tune into our brand-new video to get all the details on arguably the biggest LEGO Star Wars rumour to surface so far.

Make no mistake, $1,000 (or $999.99 as rumoured but we're rounding up the $0.01) is a lot to spend on anything, never mind thousands of plastic LEGO pieces. Given the existence of 75192 Millennium Falcon and 75313 AT-AT at £734.99 / $849.99 / €849.99 each, this was a price the LEGO Group was on track to reach eventually.

Despite that, it's still maddening to think that we could be less than a year from a $1,000 LEGO set. The LEGO Group seem likely to be targeting a specific but lucrative portion of its audience with this rumoured build.

That's all as long as this rumour is to be believed and for now, it should be taken with caution much like any other unconfirmed LEGO report despite fateful_04's reliable track record.

Click here for a reminder of what else is rumoured and confirmed for LEGO Star Wars next year as there was more than the $1,000 Death Star reported last night.
