You'll need to be fast for LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 4

You'll need to be fast for LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 4

Figures from the past three rounds of the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program infer that you'll need to be quick to grab nearly half of the next series.

Series 3 of the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program has come to a close with one Castle-adjacent project selling out faster than the rest, as usual. Brickset has looked into just how quickly every LEGO BrickLink Designer Program set has sold so far, including those that didn't sell out at all. The results aren't unexpected, but they reveal just how quick you'll need to be when Series 4 comes around.

The fourth series of the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program has more Castle sets than usual with Medieval Seaside Market by Bricks_fan_uy and Siege Encampment by SleeplessNight making up two of the five models in the round. The other three builds consist of a merchant boat, a western train and a collection of buildings above a waterfall that pairs with previous BrickLink sets.

Brickset's findings state that 910029 Mountain Fortress sold out in two hours and 29 minutes and 910043 Forest Stronghold sold out in three hours 40 minutes. That's around three hours on average for the only Castle models in the first and third series respectively. Even with two such sets in Series 4, the demand for LEGO Castle builds in the BrickLink Designer Program is clear.

From the data, we can assume that one or both of the Medieval Seaside Market and Siege Encampment will sell out in around three hours or less when Series 4 starts on February 4th, 2025. That's not long and you'll probably want to be on the website ready to pre-order them as soon as crowdfunding starts. Thankfully, there are three months to prepare.

Other findings from the report suggest that The Merchant Boat, the Wild West train and The Riverside Scholars won't be quite as popular with similar models not selling out.

910036 The Ocean House – part of the same series as The Riverside Scholars by Hanwas – only sold around 35% of its copies in Series 2 and 910035 Logging Railway with a train struggled compared to the Castle sets too at approximately 37% sold. There's less precedent for The Merchant Boat, though it seems unlikely to sell out in a matter of hours when Series 4 starts.
