The reveal of LEGO Ganondorf in

Ganondorf is an especially bulky character compared to Link and Zelda, but the uniform design of minifigures can struggle to get across characters' different sizes without resorting to bigfigs or brick-built figures. This is an issue that has cropped up with recent characters that are too large to resort to a bigfig, but don't quite look right as a minifigure. One such example would be The Thing from The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
Ganondorf approaches this limitation of standard minifigure design by using the breastplate armour element, only ever used as science fiction armour, to increase the size of the minifigure's upper body naturally. It's an effective use of the piece, the likes of which we haven't seen before.
Ganondorf's outfit from Ocarina of Time has no bulky armour, meaning his muscles are what give him such an intimidating frame. Using what is usually considered an armour piece as an extension of the body gives the minifigure just enough size difference to be accurate, but not overwhelming.
The LEGO Group's previous attempts at addressing this limitation of minifigures include an oversized trio of elements used for Axl from Nexo Knights, as well as a digital-exclusive enlarged upper body piece used for Mr Incredible in the LEGO The Incredibles game.
Ganondorf's solution is much more subtle, though arguably just as effective. We can only hope that the element will return for characters that need it in the future, but for now, you can find the Ganondorf minifigure in
