A new trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 takes a deep dive into the video game, revealing the title’s multiple costume upgrades and variants.
Insomniac Games is currently putting the finishing touches to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the long-awaited follow-up to the 2018 smash hit. The sequel is due to arrive as a PlayStation 5 exclusive on October 20, 2023, and a massive $229.99 Collector’s Edition of the game can already be preordered.

For starters, the open world backdrop is said to have nearly doubled in size, with the addition of two iconic New York boroughs, Queens and Brooklyn. The game also adds web-wings to Spidey’s outfit, which can be combined with web-swinging and allow the wall-crawlers to glide through the streets of Manhattan and other locales.
One of the key highlights of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be the ability for players to switch between Peter Parker and Miles Morales on the fly, each of which has their own unique abilities. Villains popping up in the game include Kraven the Hunter and Venom, plus other foes who have reportedly yet to appear in a Spider-Man video game to date.
In addition, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 also allows players to unlock a huge line-up of variant costumes and is said to feature over 65 different suits from the comic books, movies and original designs. These include the Family Business Suit, Shadow Spider Suit, Arachknight Suit and many others.
Recent rumours suggest that new Spider-Man sets may be included in a line-up of as many as 13 LEGO Marvel sets said to be launching in early 2024, although that remains pure speculation for now.
