A wide assortment of LEGO Star Wars sets are due to retire in 2025, including some of the best around right now – so here are six to look out for during May the 4th…
We’re less than a month out from the year’s biggest LEGO Star Wars shopping event, which is basically the best time to catch up on your wishlist from a galaxy far, far away. With the potential for double (or even quadruple) LEGO Insiders points, theme-specific gifts-with-purchase and set-specific discounts all on the table – at least based on previous years – there are plenty of reasons to shop on May the 4th.
Those will probably include a bunch of new sets too, but if you’re happy to forgo shiny new stuff in favour of prioritising the products retiring in 2025 (always the smartest play), here are our top picks to keep an eye out for next month. Make sure to bookmark our LEGO Star Wars May the 4th page for all the latest info on this year’s event as we get it.
6 – 75357 Ghost & Phantom II
Price: £149.99 / $159.99 / €169.99 Pieces: 1,394 Release date: Sep 1, 2023

LEGO Star Wars fans clamoured for a new version of The Ghost for years following the retirement (and subsequent increase in value) of the original Rebels version, and the LEGO Group finally relented in 2023 – thanks in part to Star Wars: Ahsoka bringing the ship back to screens – with
5 – 75355 X-wing Starfighter
Price: £209.99 / $239.99 / €239.99 Pieces: 1,949 Release date: May 1, 2023

One of two LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series sets retiring in 2025, 75355 X-wing Starfighter is another redesign that builds on its predecessors in all the right ways. And while another UCS X-wing is pretty much nailed on at some point (this is the third one now), it probably won’t be along for another decade at least, so best to grab this one – and its exclusive Luke Skywalker X-wing Pilot minifigure – while you can.
4 – 75396 Desert Skiff & Sarlacc Pit
Price: £69.99 / $79.99 / €79.99 Pieces: 558 Release date: Aug 1, 2024

If you’re planning to pick up
3 – 75354 Coruscant Guard Gunship
Price: £129.99 / $139.99 / €149.99 Pieces: 1,083 Release date: Sep 1, 2023

Sitting firmly in the realm of ‘LEGO Star Wars sets we will never see again’ is 75354 Coruscant Guard Gunship, an obscure dark red Clone Wars version of a vehicle we’ll probably next see in regular white, dark red and lime green hues. Pair its unique colour scheme with a suite of new and exclusive minifigures and this is one of those sets destined to be a real curio in the portfolio – and one not to miss out on while it’s on shelves.
2 – 75304 Darth Vader Helmet
Price: £69.99 / $79.99 / €79.99 Pieces: 834 Release date: Apr 26, 2021

The LEGO Star Wars Helmet Collection has returned in 2025, starting with
1 – 75331 The Razor Crest
Price: £519.99 / $599.99 / €599.99 Pieces: 6,187 Release date: Oct 3, 2022

The biggest LEGO Star Wars set retiring in 2025 is 75331 The Razor Crest, an Ultimate Collector Series model that may be relevant once again in 2026 thanks to the upcoming The Mandalorian & Grogu movie (in which Din Djarin has apparently commandeered another Razor Crest after his met an ignominious end in the Disney+ series). We probably won’t be getting another one of these ever again, and it’s always worth going big if double points are available this May the 4th…

Remember that these dates are subject to change, but at the time of writing these are the LEGO Star Wars sets currently scheduled to retire by December 31, 2025. That isn’t a hard and fast date, and any of them could conceivably sell out in the weeks and months leading up to the end of the year. Bookmark our retiring LEGO sets page for the latest updates.
